We had a similar thing in poster form in the lab. Used to spend hours pondering that an ant is to a cruiseliner how a molecule of water is to a grain of sand. Or something.

Nope, I was wrong about the possible similarity with fractal theory.

How did they get the camera up into the Milky Way to take the photograph? Must have hell of a big lens on it - f4 @ 1/500 I reckon, and ASA800 film. The enlargements must have cost a bit ...
