Keele Univ. have their TARA project online of the WW2 P.R collection.Take a 'dekko'// A long way from the situation I found in 1999 when I was told it was deteriorating fast and needed £2 million. I mentioned this to Mr Garrett of Carlton when I persuaded him to make the documentary about these little known Pilots and wrote to the 'great & good' about it, suggesting EU funds be sought for their preservation.I hear there is controversy over the 'Auschwitz' pics shown in the 'Sunday Observer'//.Was honoured to meet a B of B Pilot, 'Stapme' Stapleton on Sunday, he wished us the luck he had when he came to grief twice and lived to tell the tale. How lucky we were to have such as them around.

I viewed the Keele website, TARA today. It is on www.evidenceoncamera.co.uk
It is rather difficult to view stuff by grid ref. but an easier method by subject will be online later on, I was told by the Univ.I wondered how on earth one could find pics of the Tirpitz etc hiding in the Norway fjords by this method anyway???Someone who worked next door where 1st phase Int. took place in the Old Mansion, Ewelme, told me he had seen a pic of an a/c just getting its wing over the Arnhem bridge. That I would love to see if it still exists.Incidentally, it was Fane Fane,(Alfred Fane) the ex Frazer Nash sportscar driver of Nurbergring who took a fine dicing shot of the 'Old Rowboat' as he referred to the Tirpitz and met his end near Duxford.//Tons of such film was destroyed sadly when those such as yours truly would their eye teeth for same.//Was sent film of the 'grossbunkers' at Lechfeld. The flak batteries of the latter claimed poor Warby's P38 which they hit.ME262 jets were supposed to have been kept there. This is what we believe interested him so much and not Schweinfurt.
