Man in court over plane incident
February 19, 2004

A MAN has faced court after being removed from a Virgin Blue flight in Darwin overnight.

Ian Malcolm Cross, 26, of Darwin, is charged with two counts of communicating information he knew to be false, under the Crimes Aviation Act.

The alleged comments were not revealed in Darwin Magistrates Court during the brief hearing.

Australian Federal Police officers arrested Cross after he allegedly made the comments after boarding a flight to Brisbane at Darwin Airport shortly before midnight.

It is believed the aircraft had not yet left the tarmac.

Nobody has said he is guilty but he has been charged with a crime under the Crimes Aviation Act. Anybody, unless a minor, charged with an offence, can have his name made public. Happens every day.

Then Sonny you should attribute the article to its author and publisher.

The media know how to write stuff, mostly, without getting into trouble.

The Voice is right to be concerned and the matter is sub judice as far as discussion of the matters surrounding the particular case is concerned.

Lets wait and see what he said and whether the punishment, if any, fits the crime.
