View Full Version : Subliminal advertising on PPRUNE

Just got a new huge kickass digital flatscreen monitor installed on my computer after my old 20 inch digital research monitor got all blurry and started shorting out.

Turned the new improve display device on and cruised over to prrune and low and behold I am noticing very subtly placed text that can only be described as colour blind checks and sublimal messages all over the place now.

My favorite at the moment is of course the "25 percent raise and less night flying for all pilots" near the top of each forum page.

The question I have is how long has this been going on, and what others have I been missing out on. Have I missed out on subliminal porn?

Cheers
Wino

Jerricho:

One man's "sick" is another man's "good taste". Not having seen a piccie of MIL, I'm not sure which category I'd fall in . . .

i don't see what it is you're looking at. I've got a 15" TFT LCD and have used the forums on a 21" CRT but never noticed it. Am i missing something?

It's at the top of this page too.

You don't need any fancy monitor, just click and drag to highlight in the white speace between the "advertise here" advert and the blue bar, or highlight the whole top area, makes the text visible (blue on my screen).

If I stare really hard, I can just make out the very light grey text without highlighting it, but it does strain the eyes somewhat!

this news is so old that someone actually mailed me a letter with it.

What's supposed to be the point of an advert if you can't see it??

Because, Bluey, we all know what the 'invisible' text at the top of the screen says - or at least we have a vague idea - because it's talked about so much. However, who could say what the huge banner says? Nice bit of ygolohcysp. Or something.
