Could anyone please steer me to any relevant threads or give some advice regarding the "why Cathay?" and "what makes a good pilot" sections of the initial application form.

wow that should be something in your mind telling yourself why you choose CX. What makes a good pilot? If you know the job then you will know how to make it good :ok:
