From the Guardian (http://observer.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,6903,1143444,00.html)

A Tennessee woman has sued Janet Jackson, above, and others involved in her breast-baring Super Bowl half-time show, claiming damages.

un$%*ing believeable. Does she not look in the mirror in the morning?

It's a female breast for chrissakes. Next she'll be suing the Spanish government after a holiday to Ibiza.

Bet she watches shoot 'em up violence on tv every night though.

Sometimes, I am embarrassed to be human.

Well, we are talking Tennessee here...........

Personally I find the crotch fondling antics of so-called rap "artists" more disturbing. What is it with this auto-frottage? Or do they all share some sort of fungal infection.....

"Terri Carlin, a 47-year-old Knoxville bank employee, contends that Jackson's exposure and other "sexually explicit conduct" during halftime festivities caused viewers to "suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury.""

I'd like to know how she got seriously injured :E

Jay Leno from the tonight show did a good joke on it - he said if you experienced any of those 'symptoms' mentioned above, your most likely gay! :E

Clause 14 (page 4):

Paraphrased to avoid typing - "Defendants knew the standing and credibility of Americans in the world would be harmed as a result of the defendants indulgent and self-serving acts".

Sorry, takes a bit more than a flash of aging tit to do that. Try "kicking off armed conflict on spurious grounds".

Damn, I have badly hurt my fingers on the keyboard because of my anger and outrage at what I have just read on this website.

I am shocked and horrified, feel vilified and defiled by the comments and will be contacting my lawyer this morning to see how much compensation Danny and the others owe me:ok: :D :D

Compensation culture stinks does it not

Can I sue Terri Carlin? I have been laughing so hard at her moronic, retarded stupidity, I fell off my chair and hurt my back.

Watch out......next week the "Everybody sueing everybody else" lawsuit coming to a court room near you.

(If JJ had been wearing a "law-suit" maybe this wouldn't have started in the first place!)

Needless Litigation/Compensation culture annoys me intensely.

I'm not an advocate of the death penalty in general, but I'd be happy if it was applied to anyone filing a "stupid" lawsuit.

I'm not sure how the stupidity of a lawsuit could be satisfactorily determined, but I'm sure we could find a way.

Grrr.

Who are these idiots - don't they see that they just make America look stupid in the eyes of the world or is it a case that they are opportunists seeing the chance of a quick buck - or maybe even worse, snake in the grass lawyers putting dumb hicks up to sue anything that moves for a percentage?

Sensible American's (the vast majority), please find a way to rid the world of this type of idiot action !

On a related theme, I see that UK Plc is being asked to compensate the bereaved families of those unfortunate Chinese cockle pickers.

I normally err on the liberal (aka tree-hugging) side of most of the rants on Jetblast, but this suggestion of national culpability leaves me speechless. And, as an ex-pat, I'm not even one of those who'll have to pay !
