UK CAA Class 1 OK for PPL(A)?

Have had a search for this topic here and on the JAA and CAA websites but nothing definitive, or current, appeared.

If I hold a UK CAA Class 1 because I am an ATCO would I need another piece of paper, JAA Class 2, for a UK PPL to be valid?

Any clarification much appreciated.
