Jean Ross Howard Phelan, founder of the Whirly-Girls , died in Washington on 29th January 2004 aged 87. She founded the Whirly-Girls (International organization of women helicopter pilots) in 1955 and today there are 1265 members in 41 countries. For a full obituary, see Rotorbub.com / Washington Post.
