Question: What is the best helicopter school in Melbourne currently and if you are changing from Intergrated CPL fixed wing to Helicopter (not up to PPL yet in the course) is this a big change/step/difficulty??

What is the job market like for commercial helicopter compared to fixed wing in terms of money opportunities etc if you aren't interested in the big airlines?

You may get more advice about helo schools in the helo forum if you haven't posted there already. Likewise the employment/remuneration info.
From what I can gather from when I was in Kununurra, the helo guys have a bit harder time of it than the fixed wing guys. I don't know their pay rates but they do get onto the turbines a lot quicker. The flying was pretty amazing though.
Not sure of the top pay for a captain on a multi pilot helicopter, I think it's around the $A65K mark.
Good luck
