"Dead Whale has one last blow

The decomposing remains of a 60-tonne sperm whale exploded on a busy Taiwan street showering nearby cars and shops with blood and organs and stopping traffic for hours.

The 17m whale had been on a truck headed for an autopsy at a university when gases caused by internal decay caused its entrails to explode."

Betcha it had the locals licking their lips and scrambling for "bits" for the evening soup.
Whale is still an expensive delicacy in Japan, where a significant number are killed each year in the name of "research".
