Hi again,

I've managed to connect my desktop to my laptop via a USB cable (at last) and wanted to transfer my setting seamlessly from one to the other. The MS transfer wizard only uses a serial cable for this and I don't really want to go through the hassle of using discs as I'm directly connected.

How can I easily transfer :

a. System files
b. Outlook data to take down route (emails etc) without savung the files then importing them etc etc?

Thanks brain boxes. I really appreciate all the help you volunteer

Regards

Mo Heekan,

From your other thread currently running in this forum:

Mo Heekan,

If both machines have network card, get a CAT-5 Crossover Cable. Then you can transfer easily from one computer to another.

If you have broadband, then a router would allow you to share the broadband connection, protect you from hackers, and allow the computers to share files.

Take Care,

Richard

It does make it a lot easier to follow if you keep one thread per subject. That way we can follow the flow of replies to the one issue without having to look at other threads to get the complete picture.

Take Care,

Richard
