Hi

Got a new PC today running XP professional. I have been on Win98 for years and had built up a large 'favourites' folder while on the web within IE. EG PPRUNE, Music etc.

Now that I have made the move.....I am looking at a shortcut at how to bring them accross with me rather that find and link to them again.

Regards

Sikpupi.....

Open 'Favorites' folder on old PC, highlight everything in it (Ctrl+A); COPY from folder, to Floppy or CD ....................then PASTE from there to the same named folder on the new PC.

Small point but the favorites folder in Win 98 is in the Windows directory, while in XP it's in the c:\documents and settings"username"\favorites.

Or you could just use the import/export feature of IE6...

I'm running dual-boot W98 and W2000 and I chose to put a shortcut to the W98 'Favourites' folder onto the desktop and then into the Documents and etc 'Favourites' folder to start with. You can always copy them into that folder later if you wish as per 'BST'
