Has anyone had trouble getting an electric shaver in their hand luggage through security?

I travel tomorrow and don't want to check in any luggage.

I've looked on the BAA website and it doesn't specifically mention electric shavers, but razor blades are, which I guess it could argue my shaver contains.

I called British Midland and they didn't seem to think it would be a problem.

I would presume confiscated items are lost forever - ?

Take mine through a selection of airports nearly every week, been spot checked twice in the last month, not even a mention from the security guard.

No trouble at Denver Int'l or other US cities to which I fly.

No problem at all. You can also have traditional safety razors. Which is a bit bizarre since it can't take a lot of work to extract the blades from a safety razor and fashion then into something more like a razor blade. Butthen the whole security thing is a devoid of much rationality so I guess it is pointless to try to understand it.
