press release on the VS site says flights using -600's will start in the summer, any VS insiders got a better fix on that...?

None of the online agents are selling tickets yet, just I would like to get in quick to get an early deal for a trip later this year.

Apols.. if this has been asked before, but I tried a search and that is disabled..

thanks, phree :ok:

This may well be delayed, because apparently there have been some rumblings in Europe about giving rights on EU/US flights to non EU airlines, i.e. Cathay. Thus, if CX doesn't get LHR-JFK, VS might be delayed in getting its rights to SYD.

Hopefully it'll all work out.

There was a report in yesterday's Guardian about the delay - see http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/story/0,3604,1131848,00.html
