For almost a year now, Astraeus has been operating a 737-300 jet (G-STRB) on behalf of Icelandic Low Cost Carrier Iceland Express.

A second 737-300 is to be added with flights starting on April 1st.

I understand that the aircraft will be one of the last built 737-300's (manufactured in 1997 or 1998).

Does anyone know which aircraft Astraeus will be taking on for this project (reg#) ?

The newest 733 Astraeus have is G-STRE according to jethros.i12.com. Looking at the line number the vintage seems to be as you say.

Seems trivial as their future is in serious doubt, strong rumours of another low cost carrier planning competition to the island as well.
