I have been asked to try and identify a set of Pilot's wings and as I am unable to do so, invite comment from fellow Pruners to assist.

The Wings are red and Black with the letters PAL in centre with southern cross stars.

The inquirer thought that they may have been Patair but I can not indentify them as such. Any help.

Peter Sharpe.

Peter,
That sounds like a very good description of Polynesian Airlines wings, at least the wings of 20 or so years ago. Managed to find mine from way back, red and real dark blue rather than black. The PAL in gold with a red background on top, and the cross in gold on dark blue background below.

I thank you for that and I should have picked it up myself being not too far from home. I have never seen the brevet and PAL does rekindle memories of the Arvidson brother killed in a DC3 night departure many years ago.
Thanks once again.
Peter.
