Does anyone have any experience of getting Operational Multi-Crew limitations lifted from JAR Class One medicals?
I managed to get one after being diagnosed with Melanoma last year. The growth has been removed and I'm fit and well and under no risk whatsoever of keeling over at the controls, but I'm still stuck with this damn limitation. It's up for review this August.
What I want to know is, is it worth pushing the CAA to try to get it removed early, or is it best just to sit tight until August? Also, is there any benefit in getting my specialist to write to the CAA in time for August saying that I am fit, well, and healthy?
If I can get it lifted early it would be good, because it's really putting the kibosh on my professional flying plans (although they gave me an unlimited class two so I am keeping current by flying privately).
