Hi,

I have been looking up about BWIA for about a week now and i haven't found an awnser about what the hell is going on there. I haven't seen their A340-300 at LHR for about a month now and as it says in my profile i am a regular visitor. Can anyone give me any information on this subject?

If you know a direct lead and information about BWIAs troubles i would love to know it. Are BWIA planning on cancelling routes or increasing them?

Thanking you in advance

I don't really enjoy damping down your youthful enterprise, but if you look at some of the more mature enthusiasts' websites you will find that the BWIA A340 9Y-TJN has been operating their flights into Heathrow with unremitting regularity - certainly every day in the last week for which data is available (ending 14 January).

They did have a LOT 767 on lease a while ago during the A340's C-check but that work is done now.

Hi WHBM,

I saw a World MD-11 at LHR on the 3rd of January that had the callsign 'west indian 900' so i assume this was leased as well. This is backed up by some photos taken by proffesional aviation photographers on Airliners.net. Thanks for your quick reply and is it possible for you to instruct me on thses websites?

Thanks Dave :ok:

Does anyone know the status of the MAN service?

This was supposed to be continuing with an A340. What happened?

MAN service is currently being operated on a wetleased Air Plus Comet Airbus A310. As BWIA have just concluded the lease of their second A340 (former Virgin Atlantic - I am led to believe) this will come online on Manchester as soon as it is available some time in February. So - with the second aircraft, new routes, and increased Manchester frequencies (back to 2 a week) are on the cards.
