That aircraft is running for almost 2 days non-stop - I wouldn't like to be booked onto the Wednesday Rhodes rotation.

It's going to get messy for the ground staff when the regular summer strikes by french and spanish ATC kick in. Even when there are no strikes those friendly chaps and chapesses in Brussels will cause havoc with a couple of nasty CTOTs, with no down time for recovery that is gonna hurt.

But as you know thats the way most airlines work anyway, it doesn't affect the a/c coz it's constantly in use, the minimum ground time for most airlines using B757 a/c is 60mins(1hr) and then it's off to its next destination,

Look at the LCC's they are constantley chugging around like little work horses,

What TCX and most airlines do is they will swap the a/c from time to time for maintance anyway, I trust all of them I think, or should I say,,,,,,some of them!!!!

Also Nibor, yeah those french an spanish are probably gonna :mad: it up for me at LBA this year once again.

I think we should tryit, see how that would affect, god doesn't bare thinking about??

I'm no lover of Newcasatle with its tacky terminal, but let's give them a chance, it's good for a northern airport to finally get the 4m+ paxs throughput and finally stick 2 fingers up to the Manchester bully.

The talk of ATC strikes is only speculation - and possibly jealousy!

Newcastle's terminal maybe 'tacky' at the moment, but they are making a decent stab at becoming a leading regional international airport. The terminal will look excellent when completed, with extra retail and eating facilities, an enlarged departure area and extra aircraft parking stands amongst other developements.

They do need some extra check in counters though! :confused:

Look back a few years and NCL looked like a ghost town. Now under the airports new management the terminal is undergoing developement, new airlines and routes have been gained and passenger numbers have soared. :ok:

Indeed BombardierCR7 very soon NCL will be able to stick two fingers up to Manchester as the route network is growing.

This summer again pax numbers are expected to be phenominal with new routes and atleast 25 aircraft nightstopping! :)

It is certainly going to get busy in the am`s this summer at NCL. I am departing to Arrecife on TCX in july and i have realised i will be queing to go with all of the other charters as they all go around 7am!!! Plus theres all of the EZY flights, boy will it be busy#!

The best thing to do at ncl this summer is get checked in early and go straight through security, the security search area here is appauling and totally inadequite for the amount of pax going thru and no doubt many delays will come from this.
If the plan goes as it is at one point on one day there will be 28 acft on the ground, should be interesting with only 23 stands!

Finals to land

Hi, by the summer the airport will have a new security search area with five machines available so hopefully it won't get that bad. The airside part of the terminal will also be double the size of last year with lots more shops and restaurants.
I would still say once checked in to go straight through security as the land side will have very little to offer in the way of shops and eateries, with only the two coffee shops being left.

Wont the airlines 767-300, be on the Malaga run at this time, or is the airline aquiring an additional aircraft?

Re your comment about LCC's 'chugging around like that all the time' ---- the difference is that charter guys schedule their aircraft for 24 hours whereas LCC's (and other scheduled) have a 6 hour or so firebreak in the schedules in the timetable every night, so that the next day normally starts (at least) on time. What is being said here is that the charter timetable offers no such opportunity to recover from delays, what with few (if any) spare aircraft, hence the occasional multi-hour delays.

They will either get another a/c in or transport pax by coach to another airport, to try and catchup some time, they always catch up coz looking at TCX schedule if they didn't catch up, every single 1 of their flts would be delayed till the end of season, now we know this never happens, coz like I said earlier the a/l will try and minimize any delay with a back up plan.

I know of 1 airline that couldnt care less about its pax and they never have a back up plan, and if they ever do it's always worse than the original plan, I won't say who the charter a/l is but, "THEY MIGHT NOT BE AROUND FOR MUCH LONGER"

The XLA based aircraft should now be a B757. Air Atlanta will operate it on their behalf.

If it is the case about Mytravel, they've been doing particularly well over this winter season so far with in excess of 210 pax on their 321 except for the alicante route. Just hope it reflects in the turning around of the company.

The crew seem confident that their jobs are intact, as they insist they would not turn up for work if they thought they wouldnt have a job in a few month time and are confident that management will turn the company around, likewise am I and i hope they do!

Simple answer = NO

Also the BY plots are wrong. BY has 1 x B763 listed May to mid July then swaps with another UK base and reverts to BY B752 with a 2nd B757 based all summer.

One of the BY NCL a.c is a 757 all summer, the other is a 763 until Mid July as said above, that swaps to a 762 and not a 757 as a bristolian stated

Thanks, from your first post I thought you meant one or more of the based aircraft was being pulled. Yes the aircraft types I did know, I think BY may pull the 767-300 even earlier than last year, needed in Gatwick now that all the namby’s are back flying after Iraq, much more hardy up here to war!
