I am searching for first hand info on the good and bad concerning the BAe-146 aircraft. We are considering operating this airplane in West Africa and any assistance as to maintenance and reliability issues would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest you contact www.britishairlinemanagement.co.uk who are proposing to operate the -100 in that part of the world.

Try Swedish regional operator http://www.malmoaviation.se/o.o.i.s/1076
They have been operating the BAe146/RJ100 since 1988 and have a long and thorough experience of the aircraft.

May I suggest you try the Australian forums as well. Search engine will throw up brutally honest views on operating the aircraft in something slightly different than Scandinavian conditions.

Once you've done the basic homework and show it in a post I think you'll get some good, current feedback from the Ozmates.

Rob
