BLUE SKY THINKER

I've spent a very frustrating day trying to resuscitate my recently failed 'D' drive Autoplay, from simple 'Properties/Autoplay' adjustments to delving into the registry, all to no avail.
Have just stumbled across this fairly recently released Microsoft Autoplay Repair Wizard (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c680a7b6-e8fa-45c4-a171-1b389cfacdad&DisplayLang=en). .....Sorted it in a jiffy; only 77Kbs and an almost instant fix.
Seems a fairly common problem. .....I merely mention in passing, in the hope of saving someone else fruitless hours, having exhausted all the obvious possibilities.
