Just read that EZY are to introduce a NCL-PMI rotation from May 17th ... Does anyone know if this is to be operated with a new based aircraft? or are they just rejigging the timetable for the summer?

Newcastle - Palma Dep 19.20 Arr 23.00
Palma - Newcastle Dep 23.40 Arr 01.25

It would be very nice to see another aircraft coming but when you look at the summer schedules on their site it looks as though they are rejigging their flights and fitting the Palma into their plans..... Hope this will help... Do you go up spotting at all?? I go regular!

There is no other based aircraft going to be based at Newcastle over the summer, just the W from Berlin that is a 319 hopefully. They're just going to utilise one of their other 73's based at NCL for that route and existing route.

One other question, is when is the airport going to add more stands? The other night/morning the whole terminal stands 1 through to 12 and most of the remote stands were occupied. Thats minus the XLA 73, BAL 75/76, MYT 320, TC's 320/757 that will be based at newcastle over summer. Where is the airport planning to put them all?

Should be 'fun' in the summer if/when an aircraft goes tech.

On the contrary Stud 3 there will be another EZY 737-700 appearing at NCL for the summer schedules, as even re-jigging them will not accommodate the PMI. The Berlin flight is operated by NCL based A/C as it leaves NCL at 1230 and arrives back at 1655. With the new aircraft arriving in May, it is rumoured that another destination will be announced soon or atleast an increase in frequency on an exisiting route! :D

For summer 2004 EZY will operate:
1 daily flight to CDG/PMI/BCN/AGP/ALC/CPH/PRG/SXF
4 daily to STN
3 daily to BRS
2 daily to BFS

Using 3 based 733 and 2 based 737-700. :ok:

Stud 3, I agree NCL is going to be bursting this summer with all based/nightstopping aircraft and passengers will have to fight their way onboard as you can't swing a cat in the terminal at the moment!

Well-said Transwede, Easy's 5th 737 arrives ready to start the Berlin, Palma, and ano or ano’s, on the 17th May.
I believe the summer IT program is still not set in stone, but if all goes to plan it will be a busy one!
At the moment night stoppers looks like;
5 x Easy - 737
2 x BAL - 757/767 ?
2 x MYT - A320/A321
2 x TCX - B757/757 ?
1 x Excel – 737
1 x 737 Cosmos – who’s ?
1 AV8 – B767
3 x JS41 Eastern
6 x Night stoppers EGLL, EGKK, EGAC, EBBR, LFPG, EHAM

That’s 23 plus the mail which is going to bigger types, STN going to a Herc as from Monday!

By the way the terminal extension should be complete by then:ok:

10 DME ARC - whose Herc is it?

Its operating for Chan Express but Spotters say its South African. Was going to be an Electra, Tu 204 and know a Herc. Will eventually be B733 when they get the aircraft.

The Berlin flight is operated by NCL based A/C

Oh well I stand corrected. It was one of the NCL based cabin crew that had said mid december that we'd be gettin 319's operating the Berlin route. I guess with the new Palma flight, there is need for yet another a/c to be based with us.

And rumours of more routes to come..................... :)

5th a/c doing the afternoon Berlin and evening Palma, with a morning flight still to come. An extra CDG perhaps?

If a/c number 5 is doing Berlin and Palma flights, then there is a very large turnaround in NCL between the two flights. Surely this is not good for low cost airline?! Infact there a quite a few generous turnarounds for next summer. Maybe after the last few days they are expecting that they're needed??

Does anyone know why easyjet are dragging out the sale of flights to CPH and PRG?

And does anyone have a copy of the aircraft rotation plan for NCL? (i.e what aircraft do what flights?)

Oh by the way 10 DME ARC the based 737 for Cosmos is operated by European Air Charter, brokered by Excel Aviation. Its a 737-300 actually operating to Greece, apparantly similar to what Hola done last year, only operating 7 days a week! :ok:

What about the NCL-BFS - midweek it s only 30% full, although admittedly chockablock at weekends. Wonder why Flybe don't put on more capacity to BHD - occaisionally their baby Dash 8 carries miore than Easy's 73 and that at £300 a ticket!

10 DME ARC: May I ask what you exactly mean regarding CPH and PRG - I'm not quite sure I understand it...

Cheers :ok:

CPH & PRG are the only present routes not yet on sale for the summer season.

My point 10 DME ARC was that the schedule for Easy at NCL has some very large turnarounds in, some upto 2 hours. Surely this is not following easys low cost formula of turning a/c round in 25-30 minutes?!

However my interpretation of the aircraft schedule maybe different to yours!

Lets say the based -700 does the early AGP, then afternoon BRS and assuming CPH is same times as this year then that leaves a turnaround of 2 hr40 mins!!!

I believe the Easyjet programme for NCL 2004 will look something like this with 5 a/c based from 17 May:

A/c 1...

AGP 06.20 - 13.20
CDG 14.40 - 18.40
PMI 19.20 - 0125

A/c 2....

BFS 0700 - 0910
BCN 0935 - 1545
STN 1630 - 1915
STN 1940 - 2220

A/c 3....

STN 0640 - 0920
STN 0945 - 1225
ALC 1310 - 1955
BFS 2020 - 2230

A/c 4....

PRG/CPH ???? (Winter Schedule 0700 - 1155 PRG)
SXF 1230 - 1655
PRG/CPH ???? (Winter Schedule 1725 - 2130 CPH)

A/c 5....

BRS 0710 - 0950
????
BRS 1610 - 1850
BRS 1910 - 2150

So presuming the Prague/Copenhagen flights stay similar to the winter schedule as above, there is still one more 'extra' rotation to be announced in between the Bristol Departures. Again presuming the turnaround is half an hour this means the flight would leave NCL around 1020 and get back at 1540, plus 40 mins on the ground wherever it is means around 2hrs 20mins flight time from NCL..............Nice/Geneva anyone................???

My guess’s are for this, assuming the Copenhagen and Prague say the same.

Aircraft three
Dep 0710 EGGD Arr 0950
Dep 1010 ???? Arr 1415
Dep 1440 LFPG Arr 1840
Dep 1920 LEPA Arr 0125
Aircraft four

Aircraft five
