I've just been looking in the on-line AIP trying to find out (amongst others) the DOC for Shawbury VOR/DME (Ident SWB Freq 116.80MHz).
The document UK AIP ENR 4-1-1-1 gives the relevant info for UK en-route navigation aids but no mention of Shawbury. I then tried looking for any info on Shawbury and info on Shawbury is scarce in the AIP.
Is this because it is military and not used as such for en-route navigation?
The VFR Half million map depicts the SWB beacon and relevant frequencies but obviously doesn't have the DOC.

Any insight?

According to the latest RAF Flight Information Publication, the Shawbury VOR's Protected Range (DOC) is "50/10" which indicates that the facility has a range of 50nm protected from interference up to a height of 10,000'
