what seems an obvious business mantra preached to all from an early age in business will come home to roost in SIA.
Market Forces.
you can bully and taunt and threaten and then enforce conditions on your employees(in SIA anyway) but then dont expect them to stay any longer than they have contracts outstanding.
the govt know they can enforce almost any contract down the pilots throats if they have to but this time it will be a step too far.
pilots are already leaving and many more will follow.
expansion will suffer due to lack of crews, and there may even be a difficulty to crew existing schedules in the not too distant future so laying up very expensive planes in the desert.
the only pilots applying for SIA Cargo were deemed inappropriate so resulting in ZERO recruitment.
the writing is on the wall for the govt. will they stop and read it?
they will have to either increase the pay and conditions to attract appropriate crews or expend lots and lots of money to train them up to standard.
the former being by far the cheapest and quickest solution.
loss of face will result in enforcing a contract.
this will result in crews leaving.
this will damage SIA
THIS WILL BE BLAMED ON THE PILOTS.
the fact will still remain the same .......you cant Force people to work for you when there are better alternatives elsewhere.FACT.:ouch:
