Well, a programme currently on BBC North is making them look a right bunch of amateurs. A reporter and camera man have been wandering around the taxiways and parking areas wearing hi viz vests and filming for half an hour they say, being passed by airport vehicles and the like without being challenged.

Did you spot the clever camerawork?
Nearly every shot showed a flying aeroplane:O

And that's the point ; the whole thing was as contrived to enhance some journos career.
Real problems lie elsewhere but then how would a journo know that?

Programme obviously made some time ago and kept on file waiting for aviation safety to become a hot news item again, so it could be wheeled out with the 'shock horror' tabloid tackiness that is the mark of so many local news journos.

Interesting they didn't get anywhere near the large jets they were so fond of showing clips of, but were restricted to wandering about amongst the light a/c several hundred yards away (or a "short sprint" as the journo put it - like to see you try love). The 'look how close we are' camera work was also taken from behind a security fence at times, so a complete anticlimax there too.

Complete tosh and nonsense. She might as well have said that she was able to book a trial flight with the local club without any security check, and was able to share the runway with these jets only 'feet' away.

Or just journalists posing as ground crew, sneaky B*****d's!

Does the airport operator get a chance to view the programme prior to it been aired?

I hope Humberside bites the bullet and prosecutes Sophie Hull and her crew for trespass. These stupid stunts do far more harm than good.
