I know there are many other Air Asia posts on this forum - I have read quite a few.

It is obviously expanding quite rapidly and appears to be doing well with its Ryanair model so far. Given its recent expansion and inclusion of Expats, I'd like to know what your impressions of the airline are in terms of:

1. Pay

2. Flying Schedules/ Work Patterns - days off per month

3. Management/Pilot relations - morale (positive?)

4. Route variety

What is the percentage of expats to non-expats now after opening the gates? Overall, would you recommend Air Asia as a place to work?

Appreciate any serious responses...

LVL CHG : If it is money you are looking for, don't bother applying.

;) :{

LVL CHG,

1. PAY - average, some say even lower than the local freight carrier here (LHS); RHS with experience - RAW deal, Low Timers worth the experience.

2. Flying Schedule - up to 85 hours a month

3. Management - Upper - doing well (publicity and expansion)
- Middle - Mediocre
- Grd Instructors/Training Capt. - very experienced
(military and airlines)

4. Route variety - Subic Bay, Bangkok, domestic routes

hav a jolly time flying
