G'day there,
I am an ex military helicopter pilot and flew Super Pumas and Black Hawks during my career. At present I am flying S76 helicopters for the oil industry in West Africa, based in Australia.
I am the holder of an Australian ATP(H) with a current instrument rating and is flying on a SA validation. Since I did all my initial training in the SAAF, I believe that it is possible to get a SA Comm by just doing Airlaw, Flight Planning and Performance and a flight test.
Total time: 3300hrs
Multi-engine (heli): 2900hrs
Turbine (heli): 3000hrs
Multi-engine Command (heli): 1300hrs
What is the opportunities in West Africa to transition from a multi-engine helicopter to a medium twin aeroplane? I would be very interested to hear from operators that would be willing to get in contact with me.
