U/S President

It’s been discussed on PPRuNe numerous times before (e.g. here (http://www.pprune.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=103873)), but now the airport themselves are taking suggestions from the public for a new name:
Vote here (http://www.eastmidlandsairport.com/site/about/namepoll/namepoll/)
We all know the issues: IATA designate it as Nottingham, but it’s in Leicestershire, but it’s got a Derby postcode and telephone number.
Vote now and have your say.

Sorry for being picky but that has been up on the web site for about 3 months. Sorry but good post all the same.

If the airport name is to be changed, and incidentally I do not think it should be.
Then it has to be called Martin Johnson International, he is now known the WORLD over:D

I seem to remember some time ago that EMA had a promotional shoot with a number of celebs to promote the area of 'East Midlands' to the business world. I believe this took place at the airport near the hangars??
If that was deemed a failure I would rather see the name as Derby International Airport - afterall it's links with the aviation industry are well known worldwide.
As for Nottingham - very popular city with a folk hero who dresses in tights... & Leicester, well I think that's just geographical!

If Ryanair get in there it will be called
London Derby
London Nottingham
or
London Leicester
I think the latter has the better ring about it, what do you think?
