Perhaps a prunner can tell me:-

How busy is the airport and is there a market, in competition with Air Algers (LHR), particularly as BA will operate to LGW. It may move to LHR in the summer if the route proves popular.

You will find there is a reasonably numbered Algerian community in the UK.

so no doubts the route will prove to be a success.

will the route be a mainline BA or is it going to be GB ?

I bet there will not be a crew slip there. Put my salary on it.

surely not

I believe there is a new hotel on the airport which has excellent security. This was looked at by the airlines bidding for the Algerian Hajj work and I know at least two of the companies found it to be acceptable.

In the days when BCal code shared with AH on the route, BCal always had the lower loads as the Algerian Govt. only sanctioned leave to co-incide with the AH flight days.................allegedly.

Algiers is a fascinating City and I hope that it recovers from the internal problems quickly

There are a large number of Expats working in Algeria, mostly in the oil industry.
About 300-400 seats a week. At present most travel with a charter from gatwick twice a week.
No doubt a little competiton will be helpfull in reducing the ticket prices.

and cents.
