Hi everyone,

Can someone tell me when Libyan Arab Airlines fly into LHR or if they don't why they have stopped their routes. This is because i have photographed nearly every airline at LHR and this is one of the ones im missing along with Syrianair!

Thanks A Lot Everyone....

I can remember flying out of Heathrow to Tripoli on one of their 727’s years ago. We all boarded the aircraft and just took off with no safety demonstrations or announcements from the crew. Never had that before from a state airline. :ooh:

I have seen 737 a/c at LHR recently, I believe they have several flights per week as do BA from LGW. Both operaters do well on loadfactors.

BA transferred the TIP route up from LGW to LHR about one year ago. Operates at the moment on a 737. When I did it about 3 months ago on a 320 the loads were very good - in fact full, with about 60 full fare club pax each way. Very high revenue route, probably the most profitable shorthaul route at LHR.

A quick look at the BAA website shows that Libyan Arab do operate into LHR with a 320. Schedule shows flight on Weds and Sat arriving 1445 departing again at 1605.

I guess if they are operating a320 aircraft into heathrow, it is stil the one they have leased from novelair tunisia, with a ts reg, and novelair colours, so not a great photo, but if you are lucky it may be subbed for a a310/a300-6 in full colours! if not just fly down to malta, as it is true they still fly the b737 in there very regulary!!
