How do UK airports de-ice their runway(s)?

Is it with a chemical or organic compound, or by mechanical means?

Where do you get your supplies and equipment from?

Usually the runways are mechanically cleared, then some de-icing fluid/salt can be added. Some (mostly millitary) airports feature electrically heated runways / taxiways.
