I am flying from the UK to Australia with a different airline, then I have booked a couple of internal flights during my stay in Australia with Quantas.
Can anyone tell me how many suitcases Quantas allows per passenger for a domestic internal flight, travelling economy class and what their baggage allowance is?
Are Quantas lenient with overweight baggage?

Hi seasoned traveller, welcome aboard! :D

This should do the trick, it's on the main Qantas website. Most airlines provide the info, the only question is where on their site it is! Qantas (http://www.qantas.com.au/info/flying/beforeYouTravel/baggageAllowance) Don't forget that Queensland And Northern Territories Air Services spell their acronym without the 'u'. ;)

Doh!! Ignore the following. I have reread your post.
However, the tip about being nice and pleasant to the check in staff is still valid. They are pretty good.

Completely got it wrong!! (Great link to the QF site).
The excess baggage charge is about £10/kg over your allowance. The check in staff can be a bit flexible and can run it up to the business class allowance so long as you are nice. If you can, leave your heavy bag while you are travelling around Oz.
