From another forum I visit, and I was wondering what it was?

There were some comments about it being a Macchi RR Viper engine. I found some Viper pics that either look nothing like that engine or a bit like it ....

M'kay, we found out on the other forum it's a Viper.
Thanks to all those who (nearly) contributed. :)

18_wheeler. That Viper isn't mounted in a Toyota Lite Ace by any chance? :eek:

How about a PT6 in a Westfield SEi? Now, that would be a GO machine! :}

No Woomera it's mounted in a Holden Van sponsored by Donut King... I saw it at Archerfield and was talking to the blokes who put it together.

Seems that when they approached Donut King for sponsorship the thought was that they couldn't do it.

Guess they proved them wrong!!!

Can't run high power settings though because they can't get enough air into the cabin to feed the thing!!

I could not dive that thing. Too much of a rev head!
I wonder what sort of G's or vacuum rating the seat and mounts are rated for.... Imagine falling behind in a drag... lets open her up a bit more... oops!:E

We had a few of them Shuttles in the fleet (pre-aviation).

They had an uncanny ability to chew through diffs with enormous regularity:}

Now I see this as an extreme attempt at GMH/Isuzu to circumvent the exploding diff syndrome through sound R&D:}

How they gonna get around the rust problem:E
