View Full Version : I need a good signature!!!

29th Aug 2001, 01:21
Ok guys,

I admit it, i have a distinct lack of humour and knowledge so i can't make a good signature (everyone seems to have one :D)..

Can someone make one for me? No references to Canada please, or Wales.

So can anyone think of one? Look at mine it sucks, its childish and Lame!!!

Maybe i am not asking on the right forum....

Will i get a decent answer? Lets place bets.

How about "If God had meant us to fly, He would have given us airline tickets."

"If God had intended us to fly he would have made space in the airport staff carpark"

Have a look here for inspiration...

(Editing note from McD: I removed this link because it wasn't showing up correctly, and people were ending up at all kinds of sites  .. Not your fault, Thunderkid. For the intended website address, look down 2 posts.)

"If God intended us to fly, He would've given us the brains to figure out how."

BTW what's so bad about references to Canada?

29th Aug 2001, 13:12
Thunderkid, the username sky god was banned some time ago from pprune. Might be included in the BB censor. :)

You want it when?

EGGD - Tricky thing to make a signature for someone else!

However as a serious attempt...

Ding-Dong Avon calling, not at 20,000 feet they arn't

Oh grief, why do I bother.

how about something referring to albatrosses (is that the correct plural ?!?!) ? WHY ? ever seen one of those land...
some catchy phrase from bernard & bianca, possibly ?

just a thought

I have no signature either, on the principle that the content of the post is worth more than the signature at the end of it.

I am one of those labouring under the greatest of all delusions, namely that people come to Pprune to read, learn and inwardly digest. So far, I have yet to see any significant evidence to the contrary. In fact, the continued growth of Pprune seems to bear out this hypothesis. Let the content of your posts speak for you and maintain the highest possible standards of integrity, spelling and grammar...you will go far.

29th Aug 2001, 17:13

I agree with you, although I do enjoy reading some peoples' signatures.

I am trying to figure out a caption for myself to appear under my name, though, mainly because I want to throw some money Danny's way to help fund this wonderful resource. Still lacking inspiration....

Thankyou for all the replies. I have come to a conclusion, i will make my own! Not because your suggestions were crap, but because your signature is individualistic, and reflects your personality (i hope)...

eg. Critical Mass says he does not have one at all, because the content of the message is more important, and thats cool, it reflects his personality not to have one.

But, i just think that if you have a signature, especially a good one, people will remember that you said something funny, or clever.

So, although i really like the quote "If God had meant us to fly, He would have given us airline tickets." i refuse to take it!

****** why didn't i think of that one!

Well, i'll keep wracking me brains until i think of one!

Don't ask me why i don't want references to Canada, after all, i am visiting in December!!!

Oh well, been talking to Americans for too long!

Why was ****** banned from PPRuNe?
It seems okay to be used as a title: Look to the left, under my name... :D

30th Aug 2001, 06:27
I have found the perfect one for me!

I made it myself, it is not Aviation related but its a good description of me!!

30th Aug 2001, 13:55
TowerDog, got me beat but maybe the censor is case sensitive. You had me wondering a bit the other day when I first saw your title.
...Now, tell me, what made you choose that name?? :p

Testing here: ******

******, blew that theory away. My next guess is, while you have it nobody else can choose it 'cos you paid for it.
...and the reason you chose it was so that we couldn't talk about you behind your back.

Well, the reason I choose ****** was not only for my extraordinary flying skills, :D
but because somebody I had a fight with here on PPRuNe about a year ago, accused me of a lot of stuff and finally said: Who do you think you are? ******?

Hmm, why not use that as my title?

Already have TowerDog as my screen name as it sort of describes what I did earlier:
Flew for Tower Air and usually bid for the freight runs...(As in FreightDog)

We had 15 passenger B-747s and 3 cargo B-747s, I enjoyed the cargo flying more and ended up a lot in Black Africa and South America and such places.

And, ah ya have a good point, now ya blokes can't talk about me behind my back.. :D :D

Be good.

****** the choosen one.

PS: Ya in Antartica these days? Cold down there ain't it....?

Edited for spelling, need to hire an editor that can keep me straight

Please don't to that to anyone else again. That site you posted turned out to be a porn site which I could not get out of. And when I did finally get out of it by shutting down the computer, guess what appeared as my home page? Big t*ts. My wife also uses this computer. Have a heart, man.

Just found this website for some quotes - http://www.geocities.com/lia_mari/quote_book.html

Found myself a pretty cool one while I was there.

Latvia Calling:

The website to which Thunderkid referred is not a porn site. But, the link didn't come through as he intended. I've just edited his original post, and the correct web address is two posts below that. (Don't forget to remove all the spaces.)

i like this

It is now possible for a flight attendant to get a pilot pregnant. :D ;) :D

9th Sep 2001, 08:18
how about... "Is that a gun in my trouserleg...?"

sorry. there was no need for that

11th Sep 2001, 17:23
Pop down to your local video shop & rent ‘Airplane’, ‘Top Gun’, and anything with a bloke in Ray Bans on the cover. If you can’t find a signature in that lot, you can have mine. :)
