To mark the centenary of powered flight, the British Film Institute and Tate Britain are screening an afternoon of aviation films this Sunday 7th December, 15:00.
Called "Taking Flight", the programme includes a 1934 glimpse at the inner workings of Croydon Aerodrome called Airport and They Travel By Air a 1947 training film for staff of BOAC. The 80 minute event takes place at Tate Britain auditoroum, Milbank, London SW1 4RG 020 7887 8008 at 15:00 Admission is free, with no need to book but arrive early to secure a seat.
