SCOTS low-cost airline flyglobespan.com will launch its first flights from Ireland.

The airline said it would launch weekly flights to Palma, Majorca, from Belfast International Airport next summer.

Flyglobespan.com has already established itself as Scotland's No. 1 budget airline with flights to 10 European destinations from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.

Its parent company, Edinburgh-based travel giant Globespan, already operates North American charter services from Belfast.
But flyglobespan.com is the first Scots low-cost airline to operate out of Ireland, home of Europe's most aggressive budget carrier, Ryanair.

The move comes as a boost to Glasgow, where flyglobespan.com has its main booking centre

good on them, but this is the same arrangement as teleticket use with Futura. Globespan will be using an Iberworld bus once a week. Some good deals to be had on it too!

Quoted elsewhere -

Fly Globespan (Glasgow Intl) will take over two ex-dba (DI/Munich) B737-300s to start own operations in spring. It will start weekly B737-300 service between Belfast Intl and Palma de Mallorca on March 1.

March 1st or May 1st, not a lot of call for Palma in March.

Where else was it quoted?
