I think the best of the factual ones was Baden Powell's book "Scouting for Boys". Don't think he understood the concept of the double entendre... :D

Any other suggestions? Please identify them as genuine or shouldabeens... ;)

A Computing Manual called (I kid you not) "C Debug-er".

Edited (and misspelled) so the damn thing won't remove the operative word!

TD - I hate to correct a PPRuNe icon - but the longest day is the Summer Solstice. The Vernal Equinox is the mid point between winter and summer. ;)

One was aware of that Mr U, but the book title "The Day When it is the same length as the night" just didn't have a ring about it. ;)

Not a book title, but in the Reading Evening Post correspondence column recently there was a charity appeal letter for the children affected by the nuclear power station disaster some years ago. Very laudable but alas the writer hadn't chosen their words well and asked for donations to "Make a Chernobyll child's Christmas GLOW"

It was called "Couplings to the Khyber"

published by David & Charles, Newton Abbot, 1969
