Hi All
Considering the current discussions, where to build a new runway, is it not appropiate, that some thought be given to more long term proposals, where to build a new airport, for the South East, in the future, maybe 2015 or 2020
Bearing in mind the uproar over extending current airports, would it not be practical, to finally decide to build, in a location that would have the minimal disruption to the public, in noise, amenities and safety.
Surely an Airport somewhere like Maplin Sands or the Thames Estuary, would be less likely to upset a minimum number of people,provide landings from the open sea, able to provide a new fast route to Central London and possibly even a fast connection to Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow
What does the aviation community think.
What would you consider the the best solution.
