I have a friend who is moving to the Alice Springs area and is interested in learning to fly. Any tips on where to go? Any other information about training in Australia would be helpful as well? Thank You.

Tell him to head to the Alice Springs Aeroclub. I think they have a 172 and cutlass and last time i popped in there for a toilet break they were nice and easygoing.......
The ATC there are also alot more friendly/easygoing than other Class D's i've experienced so would be a nice place to fly hassle-free me thinks recreationally.
