Details not finalised yet but on sale from midnight tonight (25th) is a new route from MAN to PIK:ok: Is this as close as Mainline and Baby have come with regards to competition on similar routes??

So PIK-MAN is a mistake on their booking system then:{

Has anybody else heard this rumour that Baby is moving to BHD from March to be in line with mainline ?
I have been informed that it is in the new EMA timetable as Belfast City.:confused:

I'm surprised bmibaby don't fly from Manchester to Amsterdam, any plans to launch that route in the future?

Yes this rumour has been flying around for some time in local circles - I have heard that his WILL be happening early next from several previously reliable sources - hopefully a "no smoke without fire" scenario - would seem a sensible move with presumably BMI personnel assisting with handling duties at Belfast City - time will tell.

On the bmibaby website, flights from East Midlands, Manchester and Cardiff (Teesside not finalised yet) for the summer 2004 period all state Belfast International.

Manchester -> Paris CDG

Great! Weekend in Paris beginning of September would be ideal... but hang on, for 2 people:

bmibaby (MAN) - £201.00
British Airways (MAN) - £172.20
British Airways (LCY) - £135.80
bmi mainline (LHR) - £121.20
bmibaby (EMA) - £101.00
bmibaby (CWL) - £101.00

So let's see... I can give up my complimentary meals and drinks, and my frequent flyer miles, and pay £80 more for the privelege of travelling on your "low-cost" airline compared with your mainline division from LHR. Even BA from MAN is cheaper and more choice of flights too.

What exactly warrants charging double the fare compared to baby flights from EMA and CWL?

Yes i did realise that the timetable on the Baby website states BFS for summer my fellow pilot source at Baby says it will be for two reasons to cut handling costs and also the rumoured expansion of Easyjet at EMA with the rumour going they are to base seven 737-700s here at EMA for the summer most likely if they do one of the routes will be EMA- BFS.:hmm:
