This afternoon at a big extravaganza in the Dulles maintenance hanger Atlantic Coast announced their new name as a low cost carrier using Dulles as hub.
Last night at 8-30pm they announced an order for 25, A319/320 Airbuses.
The new name was announced by CEO Kerry Skeen at this afternoons ceremony and it will be Independence Air.

They will have 84 Canadair CRJ's plus the 25 A320's. The airplanes will all be fitted with new leather seats with 33" pitch.

So ends months of speculation and no sign of the UK's "Wooly Pully" so his plans are still in the wings somewhere.

I am sure that we all wish them all the luck in the world (except for Mesas J.O.) and if the enthusiasm of the gathered staff was anything to go by they have a good start.
