Oh great - that should stop any sort of GF recovery dead in its tracks. Next they'll be demanding to bring back the sort of people who got it into the mess in the first place.

Actually Gf does not discriminate and locals get shafted too and not all equally.
In the seventies it was highly competitive to be selected for the GF cadet sponsorship and only the best got in.
Failures ended up in the banks, government, and commercial companies and today consider it their best career move.
