...pushing the boundaries of the forum a little...:O

I was on a tube in Central London this evening when my Bluetooth, GPRS mobile gave a little buzz and announced that a business card had been received. I asked it to show details and it said "none"

Does this mean that someone else in the train had set hes Bluetooth phone to send out a business card to all other BT devices in range? If so a pretty horrible intrusive thing to do. And why would it be empty?

You've been bluejacked

See bluejackers (http://www.bluejackers.co.uk)

Also an interesting article with other links bbc news (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3276315.stm)

Although it sounds like it happened more by accident or someone was trying to find out who else nearby had a bluetooth enabled phone as their's would have shown you as visible.

Spammers are starting to look for new ways to send their crap. Bluetooth enabled phones is one, Instant Messengers are another that are under attack. :*

Good God!

How is it that people have time and energy to waste in this way?? The world just seems to be getting fuller and fuller of ways to piss other people off.

Anyone know of any remote islands for sale, where I can go and live under an upturned boat?

.....I don't think that I have mentioned this here before (forgive me if I have)...

All our company servers are named after film directors and the PCs as actors. After I lost my old one in the Tay, the sys admin dubbed my new one "Hogan". It was suggested that the previous one should posthumously be renamed "DiCaprio".
