Vanair have plans to introduce an ATR42 into their fleet. Their Dash 8-100 was returned late last year to Bombardier. Their current fleet is made of 3 Twin Otters, 1 Bandit and 1 Islander.

Any truth in the rumour that it will be crewed by Conair?

Contract Air Services based in Christchurch, they provide crews for Origin Pacific ATRs.

Doubt the crews will be brought in on contract, vanair usually has plenty of experienced crews waiting in line. I hope the ATR has leather seats like the Dash-8.
Are they still operating a Caravan? What runs were they using it for.
Also, some Kiwi has imported an R-22 for transporting a Doctor around. Is it based in Vila? Hot & humid with two bums on seats struggling along at 70-80kts over the pond:yuk:
