2 incidents in Brazil. A TAM A320 and an AA 767

Two occurrences this week in Brazil.
1st Incident
Around 10:30pm LT, on 11/06, at Florianopolis (SBFL, IATA: FLN), a TAM A320 (PT-MZL) slid through the runway lateral limit during the landing rollout stopping only at grass area. The nose gear collapse and there was some damage to the engine nacelles. There were 122 passengers and 6 crews but fortunately no one had serious injuries.

2nd Incident
Friday, 11/07, at São Paulo Int’l airport / Guarulhos (SBGR, IATA: GRU). While going to the gate H00, around 09:45pm LT, an American Airlines B767-300 taxied beyond the taxiway edge and its left main gear sank on a very soft surface. Passengers had to disembark on the ramp walking to the bus. By the way, it was raining and the airplane stopped just few meters from a deep ditch.

Hey Boko.......do you have another photo AFTER that toy crane hoisted that 230,000 kg monster?? Must have toppled over me thinks!

Well, for 230000kg, read about 46000kg and you might be a bit closer the mark (it's the TAM A320, not the AA B767. And its at empty weight, not MTOW). Also, it's not lifting the whole weight - most of the weight will continue to be borne by the main wheels.

Was in Florianopolis not three weeks ago. Sigh!

Hi folks,
ss 312, you're right. I received that message and only last Sunday I could see the area. There are really several deep marks on the ground. I just wonder why the 'driver' lost control and tried to do such maneuver. Very strange, it’s a large area without pavement between taxiways…:suspect:
