Hi mate. Planes for rent in this part of the world are as rare as rockinghorse sh*t. None at all in Katherine unless I've missed one somewhere.

The flying school in Darwin has a 172 and access to a warrior, very little more anywhere. A situation which also pi**es me off too.
If you find more please pass on the info.

You've picked the worst time to come up here although it's some of the best flying after the rain clears the air. Just be prepared for the heat and humidity. Unless you've experienced it previously, it can be a real downer, your get-up-and-go will got-up-and-went.

Still, enjoy.

There are a few aircraft for hire in Darwin.

Most privately owned but no shortage of them. Ask around the airport when you get here.
