Yeah a win is a win and it gives us an easier road to the semi's but.............. when will Eddie get wise and move Sailor to the bench to be used as an impact player and start the game with Tuquiri; that said there must be room in the squad for Mortlock and Latham. Sailors defence is terrible and that will cost us come the semi's against uN Zud!!!!

Eddie:

Stop stuffing around! Changes are required urgently.

1. Sailor to the bench
2. Burke/Tuiquiri to the Wing
3. Mortlock to OC
4. Giteau to 5/8
5. Gregan out (maybe), and Whits in

Also gotta find a spot for Cockbain. We need some mongrel in the pack!

Former Wallaby coach Bob Dwyer says Australia needs to dump a number of players, including captain George Gregan, if it is to retain the World Cup.

Writing in the Herald Sun following Australia’s unconvincing 17-16 win over Ireland, Dwyer said the team is struggling, and believes the team’s halves are at the root of the problem.

Dwyer feelss that along with Gregan, fly-half Stephen Larkham, winger Wendell Sailor and inside centre Elton Flatley all deserve to be dumped.

"George Gregan played much more behind the forward pack last night but he still takes a little skip and a backswing," Dwyer said.

"I feel we would get much more precise ball to the five-eighth (flyhalf) and outside backs if Chris Whitaker played. He should be there.”

"And Matt Giteau should be playing outside him. We have much more threat in our attack when Giteau is in the field."

“After what I saw last night, we cannot win the World Cup with the team we have now."

Dwyer is adamant changes have to be made for next week’s quarter-final against Scotland.

"And if we don't make some urgent changes we'll simply be handing over the William Webb Ellis trophy.”

"We've played two decent teams in the pool in Argentina and Ireland and both would have beaten us had they been able to kick their goals.”

"And that simply isn't good enough."

Why are they so suprised that Ireland did so well? THey have some fantastic world class players. The Irish Midfield totally outclassed the mediocre Flately/Burke combination. O' Driscoll is a world beater. Irish Lineout- kicked arse. Stringer- way quicker than Gregan.

Ireland won't win the RWC. But theres no way the Wallabies are going to win it either. NO CHANCE!!

You shouldn't be so harsh on old grogen (oops I mean Greagen)
over the years his talent has won you ozzies some bloody close matches.

Let the little ****** have his last season, as a kiwi I will be glad to see him go though.

On the irish game, at least you guys have had some competion in your pool and that may work in your favour when we meet in the semis.

Who really givessarats ? In 18 weeks, 6 days and 16 hours we will be watching real football again !!;)

.........and I reckon we could fit Georgey Gregan into the Pies midfield player group.

Keep the faith :]

I've just finished a couple of glasses of chardy, and I'm about to offer my servicesto replace Sailor. Not on the bench though. I want to get right into the action and i reckon I can do a better job than th at big prick. Maybe after another one I'll change my mind.
Whiskery, what code are you tak ling about? The only foootball is League, and I know of no team called the Pies. What a dummb nake - Pies. Is that 4 & 20 pies or what? This union stuff is only a diversion when we're not watching, or better still playing league.

Whiskery,
Would that be the only game in the world where you still get a point even if you miss ?

VB_Capt not 4 & 20, not Mrs Mac and not MUD but these mighty

PIES ! (www.collingwoodfc.com.au)

Actually woftam that's not a bad observation for someone who doesn't follow the game.;) In fact, the behind can play an integral part in determining the winner of a close game.

Oh look, another twenty four hours have nearly passed. Now only - 18 weeks, 5 days and 7 hours to go. :ok:

I assume you are all talking about that funny airreal ping pong game where they punch the ball and run around wearing almost nothing :p :D

Union is for real men (sometimes women to), that is why Sailor isn't having much luck @ the code.;)

See I was (partly) right. Eddie J is obviously taking what I write in this forum very seriously.

1. Based on his performance, Sailor should have been benched as I proposed.

2. Tuquiri went to the wing and shone

3. Mortlock to OC - ditto

4. Gits played extremely well at flyhalf until injured (actually outperformed Larkham in my view)

5. Gregan continues to be hopeless and Wits' crisp passing and passion was obvious from the moment he came on.

6. I told you Cockbain would provide the mongrel and look what happened after he came on!

Don't delay, vote QSK? for national selector - BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!

QSK, i'll vote for ya but its not going to matter. Next week the ozzies are going to meet a real rugby nation.:} and suffer a crushing defeat.

Anti-skid, as much as I agree that the Frogs could beat England after watching that game last night I don't think its going to happen.

All in all though you should never underestimate the French and never turn your back on an Ozzy. :ok:

Bring on the weekend.;)

Anti-Skid,

Oh well, this week end will surly be a crushing defete (blo*dy Kiwis have to destroy our ego), but on the bright side, at least we will still have the girls with beach volleyball to go watch, not a bad second option in my opinion :ok:

Well done Oz. Completely out thought us. Do the Southern hemisphere proud, especially if you're up against the English. That Clive Woodward really annoys me.
