Hi guys,

am coming over in december for hols.

I intend validating my ICAO PPL in Durbs and then renting a plane to fly up to the Kruger area.

Wanted to ask:
- can I overfly Swaziland or must I go round?
- weatherwise what can I expect? Does the the rainy season mean the occasional downpour that you can fly around or wait for to pass by, or is it usually non flyable for the whole day?

Any advice highly appreciated.

Ciao.

Well as for flying over swaziland that should be no problem. I have done it many times quite legally on charters. Just stay in contact with the relavent atc's.

As for the wheather it is usually thunder shower and thunder stom type wheather but you do get your days when the rain just won't go away. The durban met guys are always ready to help. They can be contacted on 0027 {0}31 4690005.

Hope it helps.
