In the CAR's it states that to be a CFI you must be a fit and propper person.
I ask you is this person below a fit and propper person-

1. He sent a student solo before this student even had a medical certificate let alone a student license. Not a serious mistake but after this he realised his mistake and instead of owning up to it he proceded to falsify the students records and log book to cover up his stuff up. That is a serious offence. Read the CAR's.

2. He would continually backstab junior instructors. Not the usuall GA type of thing but more serious then that. He would do this for the sole purpose of furthering his own agenda.

3. His treatment of a certian female student. He would continually be grabbing her where he shouldn't have been. Additionally on one ocasion he held this girl down and removed her top and got another junior instructor to take a photo of this.
The madding thing about this was that this girl was a minor and he has a daughter around the same age!
As a female in this industry I find this behavior is DISGUSTING!

4. Also he would be continually looking up porn on the internet at work. Again not serious but he should have been doing that at home and not at work and accusing junior instructors of doing it!

You would not even pick this person as he puts out this Mr Sqeeky clean butter wouldn't melt in my mouth image.

But If you ask me NO he is NOT a fit and proper person to even hold an instructor rating. I just hope that the truth about this low life gets known.

That is a serious offence. Read the CAR's. Teresa, if you feel it's serious enough, submit a CAIR report or speak to someone in CASA. That way something may be done about it.

With the remainder of those occurences, the individuals affected need to speak up, otherwise it's hearsay.

In regards to the girl in question speaking up-
She did to me and said that this low life did the usual speach" No one would believe you because I'm a grade 1" and of course the other party to this incident wouldn't support her either.
So as you can imagine she was a bit cautious about speaking out.
Yes maybe a CAIR would be useful.

Maybe a smack in the mouth from a friend of the lady involved would do the trick.
If the individual that did this thing has a record or history of doing these sorts of things, the lady involved should have no trouble being believed, and in my opinion should report it to the relevant authorities, regardless of if she thinks she will be believed or not. It might be the start to this mongrels history that gets the next lady he abuses believed.
If it had of happened to any lady friend of mine, this sad individual would be looking for false teeth right now........ Grade 1 or not. grade1's teeth knock out just as quick as the next blokes.

Edited because of second thoughts...the PS covers what I think your chances are...particularly if you're in WA region.

Chuck.

PS The wording 'fit and proper person' no longer exists within the CAOs...that's how CASA gets away with hiring who it does.

People bag the public services, but this sort of thing is pretty well extinct where I work. A few "hands-on" managers etc. had to lay down their careers to demonstrate this to everybody:uhoh: There are avenues, "sex discrimination" in the phone book to start with, nobody should have to put up with this.

I'd try your hand at a CAIR, for your own peace of mind.

Otherwise, have you read lately about CASA rottweillers tearing up licences and AOC based on rumours, On the Airbands, stuff scrawled on dunny walls & pprooon ravings? Imagine how they'd perform with your mate "can't touch me, won't believe you" with some EVIDENCE!!!:}
