So, applications are open to Greek speaking female waiters with a background in childcare. Specific, no? Counts me out on all accounts. LOL

Good luck, should anyone apply!

Hey Guys,

It's been a while since I've posted but I think now would be an appropriate time to do so.

As for Gulf Air recruiting I wouldnt even bother. Being fluent in written and spoken Greek, having over 10 years service experience and 25 years of age I met all the requirements of the position. I did as they asked and applied on line, however within 15 hours I had a response saying I was not successful. Not that I am really effected by this, because I kind of expected it.

For females I'd say they have a good chance with Gulf, but for males dont waste your time. From what I have heard they only employ arabic males to work for there organisation. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, I'm only going by what I have heard.

Anyway, just thought I would add my bit.. Good luck to those who get through. Considering Gulf Airlines are working in partnership with Olympic Airlines as the Carriers for the 2004 Olympic Games any person who gets the position would be part of a very exciting time.

Enough said, take care all....

Cheers

Last time Flight Attendants recruitment of Gulf Air also prefered just for thai female so if you are male do not waste your time to apply for this position. :O Umm.. I am not sure that this time recruitment is for Gulf Air or for Gulf Traveller as last time .. Anybody has the information??

Dear Jewel,

I think you should review the questions you answered them on the application form (the first part of the form) because if you answer some questions that do not meet their criterias you will be rejected automatically. Anyway, last time in Bangkok, there are many girls who were rejected received the call from local office for the interview process so please do not worry! Try to apply again, if you are still interested :O

You are quite right..Gulf Air.. will not employ males under any circumstances, UNLESS you speak fluent Arabic, even then preference is given to mother tongue Arabic speakers.

They circumvent most countries strict anti discrimination laws, simply by not accepting male applications any further than the initial application.

Only ones I know that employ non-Arabic speaking males, are Emirates and Qatar.

Gulf Air when on recruitment drives will only employ male Chefs.

Female applicants are basically chosen for their appearance. So on the day when they recruitment guy only has eye's for that tall brunette in a skin tight suit and hot pink high heels, don't expect a call.
